National Seminar on Hajjat ul Wida at Lahore

The Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan has said that the issue of media bill should have been consulted with the National Rahmatul lil Aalameen Wa Khatamun Nabiyyin Authority for better dealing with the issue in an amicable way. He was addressing at a national seminar organized by the National Rahmatul Lil Aalameen Wa Khatmun Nabiyyin Authority (NRKNA) at Punjab University. He expressed his hope that the Authority would make the desired positive change in the society through its activities. Malik Ahmed Khan assured of his complete cooperation with the Authority by sharing the facilities of Punjab Assembly as and when required. He said that the steps taken by the Authority for guidance of the members of the provincial assembly would be welcomed.   

In his presidential address, the Chairman Authority Mr. Khurshid Nadeem urged the people from all walks of life to come forward and play their role in development of an inclusive society. “A strong state may be ensured through legislation but for a better society, the cultural norms play a vital role. The blessed personality of Rasulullah (PBUH) provides a beacon of light in all types of issues,” said Mr. Khurshid Nadeem. Reference recent events of lynching, he said Islam disclaims such acts as the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has been declared blessing to all humanity.   

In his keynote address, Dean Islamic Studies Punjab University Prof. Dr. Hammad Lakhvi said that the last sermon of the Holy Prophet is a glittering example of the rights of man in Islam that believes in justice more than equality. He enumerated the human rights aspects from the sermon and reminded the audience of their role of spreading the message of peace and love.

The Focal Person NRKNA Punjab Dr. Ishtiaq Gondal welcomed the distinguished guests and audience for gracing the occasion. He marked the event a historic one as it matrks the launch of the Rahmatul lil Aalameen Authority in Punjab. 

The Director, NRKNA Mr. Suhail Bin Aziz gave a brief presentation on the history, functions, activities, on going projects and future plans of the Authority. He urged the youth to join hands with the Authority to better spread the message of Rasulullah (PBUH).

Chairman Tuaha Qureshi Foundation UK, Mr. Tuaha Qureshi, MBE, appreciated the role of the Authority in dealing with the menace of all types of extremism. He informed the audience about a recent MOU signed between his foundation and the NRKNA through which different activities will be organized in the UK. Special programs will be organized to address the issue of misunderstandings against Islam and Pakistan.

Former head of National Curriculum Council and Consultant HEC, Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir shared the vision behind formation of the Authority. He expressed his pleasure while acknowledging the efforts of the Chairman Authority and his team that made a healthy progress in a short time.
